You can choose from shoulder and pedestal mounts, full-body pieces, European and antler mounts, bird and fish work, and rug mounts, often enhanced with custom habitat bases.

Foothills Taxidermy traces its roots to Dan and Jesse Grace’s taxidermy work beginning in 1993 and has operated as a business since 1998, with Cody Niggli learning the trade alongside Jesse before taking over the shop.

As lifelong hunters, the team emphasizes lifelike, high-quality mounts that aim to bring your animal “back to life” and reflect the moment of your hunt.

They publish a detailed 2025 price list—for example, deer shoulder mounts around $995, elk shoulder mounts around $2,400, full-body bear work from about $3,500 and up, bear rugs at $250 per foot, and fish work priced per inch—with many pedestal and habitat options requiring a call for an exact quote and a 50% deposit due at booking.

They note that, as hunters themselves, they understand the importance of timely trophy returns and past testimonials mention some mounts finished in about six months, but they do not guarantee a specific turnaround time.
