Doug began mounting his own birds as a teenager, trained at The Northwest Taxidermy and Freeze Dry School, worked full time for about 10 years on game heads and birds, and has now returned to professional bird-only taxidermy after two decades running another business.

Goose Pond Taxidermy uses a clear, species-based flat-rate price list for birds, with examples such as around $500 for many ducks or pheasants, $650–$1,000 for geese, $1,400–$1,600 for large birds like cranes or swans, and $1,450 for turkeys, plus add-on options like open mouths for an additional fee.

All bird prices include a base, turkey prices include either a wall branch or base, and the studio encourages you to review the price list or contact them for exact costs and current availability.
