        Animal Mount Details

They work on big game, small game, birds, fish, African and exotic species, and offer European skull taxidermy through Hammer Creek Bug Works.

Available mount styles include full-size mounts, shoulder and wall pedestal pieces, European skull mounts, bird mounts, remounts, and other custom mount designs.

Josh began taxidermy in 1997, became fully licensed in 2002, and has operated Hammer Creek Taxidermy full time since 2016, bringing over 25 years of experience to each project.

His background includes apprenticeship under a Master of Masters taxidermist and advanced study with renowned specialists, reflected in detailed, competition-focused, lifelike work.

        Pricing & Turnaround

The studio lists clear example pricing, such as $145 for a whitetail European skull mount with a free skull hook and free skinning for any trophy they mount, and invites you to contact them for custom quotes; a 50% deposit is due at drop-off with the balance on completion.

Typical turnaround runs about 6–8 months for shoulder and wall pedestal mounts and up to a year for full-size mounts, though actual times can vary, so you should bring trophies in as soon as possible.

Additional services include beetle-cleaned European skull work, remounting and repair, delivery and setup, panel and hydro-dipped skull options, and guidance on regulations and shipping for out-of-state or international hunts.
