The shop works on big game, small game, birds, and other wildlife, with some fish noted, plus rugs and tanned hides.

Owner Winstin Heagy trained at the Western Pennsylvania School of Taxidermy and has operated the studio since Fall 2020, with about five years of experience in the trade.

He stresses professional, detailed mounting, natural presentation, and treating each trophy with the same respect and care he gives his own hunts.

Heagy Taxidermy posts detailed, itemized pricing for most work—for example, deer European mounts around $125, dipped Europeans around $200, buck shoulder mounts around $700, full-body buck mounts starting around $2,000, small mammals generally in the mid-hundreds, bird mounts from about $350 to $900, rugs priced per linear foot, and more—while inviting you to call for quotes on bears and unlisted species.

The studio does not list standard turnaround times, but one customer noted a shoulder mount finished in about 3.5 months when other shops were quoting close to a year.

In addition to traditional mounts, Heagy Taxidermy offers rugs, tanning of hides, and specialty pieces such as pack mounts and fan displays.
