Kelbee’s Taxidermy

Kelbee’s Taxidermy primarily focuses on big game shoulder and European mounts, but also works on small game, birds, select pets, and skull and skeletal projects.

You can choose from shoulder mounts, full body mounts, European skull work, rugs, hard tans, and custom habitats, along with creative options like backpack, fan, and rump mounts.

Kelbee has practiced taxidermy since November 2022 after training under a taxidermist with about 40 years of experience, and began her first official year in business in 2023.

She emphasizes detailed, in-house work, including hard tanning all hides and using beetles, careful degreasing, and whitening for European mounts.

The studio provides a detailed, itemized price list for mounts and extras, with clear example pricing from roughly $500–$1,400 for shoulder mounts, $250–$5,000 for full body work, and $100–$450 for European skulls, plus discounts for youth, veterans, and female (non-antlered) animals and a half-down deposit policy.

Current turnaround is about a year and a half with no guaranteed completion date, but you can track your project’s progress through the online waiting list as it moves through each phase.

Additional services include rugs, hard tans, antler and hide repair, antler-only and hoof rack work, custom habitats and dioramas, laser-engraved photos, select pet preservation, and skeletal or shell preparation for certain reptiles.
