Living Image Taxidermy

Living Image Taxidermy works on big game, small game, birds, and both freshwater and saltwater fish.

Owner Jeff Poston is a graduate of the Montgomery Community College Taxidermy program and a U.S. Navy veteran who turned his passion for taxidermy and the outdoors into a full-time, family-run studio.

The studio posts a detailed price list with set prices for common mounts—for example, deer shoulder mounts at $600, lifesize deer starting at $1200, turkey mounts around $800–$900, small game mounts around $250–$400, lifesize predators around $800–$1000, and fish work priced per inch or by replica—while asking you to contact them for large game or unlisted items.

They require a 50% deposit before work begins, charge additional fees for open-mouth mounts and velvet antlers, and note that most saltwater fish and catfish are done as replicas, but reviews describe turnaround as inconsistent, ranging from fast completion to very long delays over several years.

The studio offers restoration services and can add scenes, habitats, plaques, and driftwood bases to enhance your finished mounts.
