Mainely Taxidermy

Mainely Taxidermy works on big game, small game, birds, and skull mounts, with additional support services for deer and bear game processing.

You can choose from shoulder mounts, European (skull) mounts, bird mounts, bear rugs, and custom display pieces with bases or lamp-style mounts.

Owner and taxidermist Josh Hatley brings over 20 years of hunting and fishing experience, along with credentials as a Registered Maine Hunting/Fishing Guide and certified Hunter Education, Muzzleloader, and Archery instructor.

The studio emphasizes realistic trophies informed by extensive field experience in Maine, South Africa, and other hunting locations.

Bear rugs are priced per linear foot with a minimum charge and optional leather edge and backing upgrades, bird taxidermy uses a published price list with add-on habitat and display options, and deer shoulder mount pricing is available directly from the studio.

Estimated turnaround for bear rugs is about 12–14 weeks, covering tanning, mounting, finishing, stretching, dyeing, felt work, padding, and backing.

Mainely Taxidermy offers coordinated deer and bear game processing through a local Amish facility, custom habitats and water scenes, glass cases, decorative lamps, and full handling of drop-off, cooling, transport, and pickup logistics.
