Shawn has been an avid outdoorsman his whole life, trained at taxidermy school, and now applies that experience to most aspects of taxidermy work.
He emphasizes careful field care, detailed craftsmanship, natural poses, and has placed well in taxidermy competitions, with some of his work displayed at the Mill's Fleet Farm store in Monticello, Minnesota.
Pricing & Turnaround
The shop posts a detailed price list (effective 1/1/2026), with structured pricing per inch or linear foot for fish and rugs and flat or starting rates for birds, shoulder mounts, life-size pieces, skull mounts, antler plaques, and tanning, plus add-on charges for options like open mouths, pedestals, custom habitat, and alterations.
They require a 50% deposit at drop-off, accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, note that prices may change without notice, and ask you to bring and freeze trophies promptly, with the remaining balance due when they notify you that your mount is complete.
