The studio works on big game, small game, birds (with a special passion for waterfowl), and fish, along with a broad mix of other game species.

You can choose from shoulder mounts, full-body and half-body mounts, bird mounts, traditional skin-mounted fish, European and antler mounts, rugs, and custom habitat bases.

Summer opened Tumbleweed Taxidermy in 2015 after a lifetime around livestock and the outdoors, and she notes working on “a little bit of everything” for about 10 years, with team member Alaina assisting on hundreds of animals since 2019.

Their background includes state-level competition placements with bird mounts, assembling an elk for the Hunt of a Lifetime organization, and extensive hands-on experience with deer, bears, predators, and waterfowl.

Tumbleweed Taxidermy posts a detailed, itemized price list—for example, white-tailed deer shoulder mounts at $700, elk shoulder mounts starting at $1,050, bird mounts around $300–$450, fish at $19 per inch, bear rugs priced per foot, and tanning at flat or per-square-foot rates—plus 50% deposits, open-mouth surcharges, and extra fees for repairs.

The shop works by appointment only with seasonally variable hours, requires a 50% deposit before work starts, and gives you 30 days to pick up finished work before weekly storage fees apply and unclaimed items are forfeited after 90 days.

They also offer custom habitat bases, rugs, tanning services, and repair work for damaged hides, slit ears, broken skulls, and improper skinning cuts.
