Owner Kyle Lakey has practiced taxidermy since college and has run Twisted Tines Taxidermy full time since 2007, backed by a BS in wildlife management and ecology and membership in the Wisconsin Taxidermist Association and multiple conservation groups.

They publish a detailed price list with example rates such as $925 for a whitetail shoulder mount, $3,995 for a whitetail life-size mount, $1,995–$2,195 for an elk shoulder mount, $295/ft (minimum $1,450) for a black bear rug, $100–$115 for a deer European skull mount, $25 per inch for fish replicas, and a 40% minimum deposit (at least $300 for deer heads), with African and exotic work generally about 50% higher than comparable North American pieces.

They highlight fast turnaround with an advertised 2–4 week completion time for skull mounts and encourage you to call ahead to confirm hours, discuss timing, and plan drop-offs, especially during peak hunting seasons.

Additional services include rugs, pelt tanning, restoration and remount work, antler repair, camo skull dipping, pickup and delivery for large projects, and a small retail section with optics, hunting supplies, and sporting goods.
